Jessica Tiburcio
Jessica Tiburcio, a JD/MPH candidate, graduating with her JD this upcoming spring and graduating with her MPH in 2022. Currently, she is a legal intern at the Center for Elder Law and Justice’s Health Policy Unit. Her legal work extends to composing memorandums of support or opposition to new legislation affecting the elder in nursing homes, adult-care facilities, and other long-term care facilities and legislative and policy advocacy for vulnerable populations. Ultimately, Jessica wants to utilize her JD/MPH to impact populations’ health, chiefly through humanitarian- or business-based immigration. Thus far, her most significant achievement has been successfully arguing for and representing a client during an administrative hearing pertaining to the expungement of an indicated report made by the Erie County Department of Social Services.
